Blending traditional, international & personal tales, bilingual (Spanish/English) storyteller Carrie Sue Ayvar takes her listeners on a journey into the imagination connecting people, languages and cultures through her stories that flow effortlessly. Believing that stories are one of the best means of bridging varying experiences, Carrie Sue connects people, languages and cultures through her stories. Her grandfather taught her, that “If you don’t know the trees you may be lost in the forest, but if you don’t know the stories you may be lost in life,” so she is committed to passing on the stories her family and teachers have shared with her.

With programs as diverse as bilingual literacy series for migrant farm workers to the B’nai Tzedek Teen Philanthropy Program, from Jewish Stories at the Miami International Book Fair for thousands to her Humanities Chautauqua portrayal of a Jewish pioneering woman for Hadassah meetings, Carrie Sue creates each program to fit the needs of her listeners. Sharing her talents and stories she loves to encourage others to tell their own stories. Carrie Sue has taught and shared storytelling techniques and methods through her many Artist-in-Residencies. Her workshops have included “Storytelling In The Classroom”, “Walking In Their Footsteps, Talking In Their Voices: History Comes To Life”, “Ret Meir Un Meiser/Tell Me A Story -Telling Jewish Stories” and "Spicing Up the Storytelling Stew: Recipes For Bilingual Storytelling" among others.
